About
I am a clinical psychologist in private practice with over 25 years experience treating adults, older adults and their families. In my private work, I provide sensitive and effective cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). (Click here to find out more about what CBT is and what it could do for you).
In addition to my private practice, I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Yeshiva University’s graduate program in Psychology. I teach Clinical Interviewing, a core part of the curriculum, to first year doctoral students, whose work at the in-house psychotherapy clinic I also supervise.
Educational Background
I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, also earning an M.S. in Counseling Psychology there. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University and did a pre-doctoral internship at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center in NYC. Later I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in geriatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Following up on my interest in Cognitive Therapy, I subsequently trained at the renowned Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia, and have since been accredited as a Diplomate in the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
